Bobby Lonero and the New Orleans Express Tribute Band

Bobby Lonero is a multi-faceted entertainer whose professional career began as a child performer in New Orleans. From there Bobby went on to share the stage with some of the big names in show business from New Orleans - Louis Prima, Fats Domino, Ernie K Doe, Frogman Henry, Pete Fountain, Irma Thomas, Aaron Neville and Allen Toussaint. During his 50+ years as a professional musician, Bobby also worked as a side man for entertainers like Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Little Richard.

 

Bobby is probably best known locally and abroad for his great Louis Prima show. For over 13 years Bobby performed this act at the world famous “Mystic Den” in the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street.

 

After taking time off to rebuild from Katrina, Bobby is back with his big band performing "The New Orleans Song Book" which includes all the hits from New Orleans greats such as, Fats Domino, Ernie K-Doe, Chris Kenner, Frankie Ford, Oliver Morgan, Lloyd Price, Louis Prima and too many others to mention. Bobby Lonero and New Orleans Exprees was the only local group selected by Jazz Fest 2010 to perform a tribute to Louis Prima at this year's Festival.

 

Along with the “Authentic Italian Music” which includes all your favorite standards from Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, as well as traditional Italian folk music, Bobby’s all star group is capable of many other styles and genres, and features some of the best musicians from New Orleans. The band is presently working on other tribute shows featuring Fats Domino, Dr John and Ray Charles.

 

The group can perform in both large and small configurations and is available for private parties, weddings, festivals and clubs locally and abroad.
